Criminal Law Student Scholarship
Supporting Texas Criminal Law Students
Background
The Broden & Mickelsen Scholarship Award was established to support students enrolled in Texas law schools who desire to pursue employment or are currently employed at a Federal or State Public Defender Office. To offset the cost of more lucrative opportunities, Clint Broden and Mick Mickelsen are rewarding students who meet the requirements below with one $1,500 scholarship award. Both Clint and Mick served in the Federal Public Defender Office in Dallas and the Northern District of Texas before founding Broden & Mickelsen, LLP in 1998. In the years they served as assistants, Clint and Mick gained insight into virtually every federal criminal case. The two Federal and Texas criminal defense attorneys would like to reward students who also wish to pursue this important career path.
